K
-
N-L> Infant (code, triplememb Subspace [details] and Kinky), Iso (music).

K was thought out by the two dutchmen Infant and Iso as a label under which
they could release the productions that were too weird for the mainstream
demo crowd :)

Kameli
------
  Shit Happens (1997, 14.12, 64k Intro).
8th in the Astrosyn 97 64k intro competition.

Kampfgruppe
-----------
  MouseTrap (1993, 05.08, Demo).
8th in the European Computer Conference 93 demo competition.

Kangooroo (KNG, 1997-)
----------------------
HUN> Beast (founder gfx, 12/97-01/01), EFT (Krisztian Jambor, founder code,
12/97-08/00), Lord (Peter Labos, founder wbmaster sysop 'NUMBER OF THE
BEAST' WHQ, 12/97), Mr.Pixel (Adam Baki, music, 12/97), Soldier
     (founder raytrace, 97-98).
???> Cheetah (gfx, 08/00), Chip (code, 01/01), Teo (music, member Exceed
     [pc], 08/99-01/01).

Kangooroo is a Hungarian demo group, formed in 1997 right after the death of
Impulse by EFT, Beast, Soldier and Lord.

Amiganica Hungarica 98 Party Invitation (1998, early.05, Intro).
code: EFT, gfx: Soldier, music: M. info: Supposed to be spread at Scenest
98, but that party was cancelled, and so it was released out of party.
  Size approximately 1meg.

  Intro (1999, late.01, 64k Intro).
code: EFT, gfx: Soldier, music: n/a.
2nd in the Contest 99 intro competition.

  United (2000, .08, AGA Dentro).
code: EFT, gfx: Beast, Cheetah, music: Teo.
review: I was anxiously awaiting to see this, since EFT has been a
personal favorite since releasing "Voyage In Storm". But, alas, the intro
does not seem to work. When executed it just throws up a white screen and
then takes FOREVER to do anything...and ultimately never does. I have not
yet been able to make it do anything, but when I do...I'll get back to
you, ok? I'm sad now =( [glenn]
  GLE tested A1200/030-50/2mb chip, 16mb fast/3.1.

1992 - Swedish organizer Kervin (re late91) joined Defiance 09/92.

Kaos Design (-1992)

Katharsis is dead; all members joined Union.

Kefrens [old] (1988-1990)
-------------------------
DEN> Box (gfx, 09/89), JTF (gfx, 09/89), Razter (code, 09/89).

Kefrens was a Danish demo group, originally founded by Razmo, Metallion and
Mellica in 1987 under the name The Starlight Project (TSP). In 1988, they
changed their name to Kefrens.
When Kefrens died, danish coder Promax (Rune Gram-Madsen, ex Atomic
Team) left the demo scene to work on his assembler ASM-One...and today
ASM-One is the most used assemblers among demo coders! Also Metallion had
some utility projects; his IFF Converter was widely used among demo coders
at the time.
  1988 - Razmo contributed music to Freedom Force's "Demo 2" [10/88] in
october.
1989 - At least three megademos were released by the group this year, from
number 5 (february) to number 7 (september)! This is undoubtedly a record,
and one that will remain for all time.

Kefrens died. R.W.O (1st group), S.L.L (ex Bamiga Sector One, both new
02/90) and Seen joined Rebels. However, after 14 days they both left and
formed Hydronic together with 4 other ex-Kefrens guys. Then, of course,
Hydronic became the new Kefrens. I believe Razmo may have spent some time
in Genozide also. Danes Icronite (old handle Burger) and Milkshake (both
ex Atomic Intelligence) joined Rebels, but immediately moved on to
Anarchy. Deflex joined Arcane. Toxic founded his own little crew; Serious
Soft. Neon changed his handle to Hitman and joined Dexion.
Danish members Detron (code, 09/89), Jaeger (swap), Metallion (code, 09-
11/89) and Nightlight (music, ex Atomic Team) remain groupless after the
  split.
Danes Maestro (music, 12/92), Orion (code) and Slash (gfx, ex Daniax, new
12/90) all left to join Flash Production. This trio was largely
responsible for the demo 'THE WALL' (12/90). Maestro later returned to
  the new Kefrens.
Original founder and coder Mellica was kicked mid 90.
Danish coders Gizwiz (ex Bounty) and Murphy joined Crionics 06/90.

  Megademo 5 (1989, 12.02, ECS Megademo).
3rd in the Bamiga Sector 1 and The Warfalcons Party!

  Megademo 7 (1989, 18.09, ECS Disk).
code: Detron, Metallion, Mellica, Razter, gfx: JTF, Box, J.O.E., Ipec
Elite, Detron, Metallion, Mellica, Razter, Zycho, music: Razmo, Exumer,
  Nightlight, Blazer, Zycho, Metallion.

  Jukebox (1990, ECS Musicdisk).
code: n/a, gfx: n/a, music: SLL.

Megademo VIII (1990, 19.02, ECS Megademo, 2 disk).
Winner of the Kefrens and Dexion Party demo competition!

  Keftales (1990, 30.06, ECS Demo).
code: Metallion, gfx: R.W.O, music: n/a.
Released at the Amiga Conference 90.
info: R.W.O's debut, his first logo released!

The Wall (1990, 29.12, ECS Trackmo).
code: Orion, gfx: Slash, Seen, Angel Dawn, Airwalk, music: Maestro.
Released at the Dexion Party 1990.

Kefrens [new] (1991-1994)
-------------------------
DEN> Rookie (gfx, ex Upfront).

The second incarnation of Kefrens was born in the last months of 1991 by
a.o. S.L.L and R.W.O from the old Kefrens.
1991 - Danish swapper Hawkeye/Static Bytes joined the group in december.
1992 - Danish musician Maestro (ex Flash Production) joined Anarchy, while
the group's Norwegian board 'THE PYRAMID' was kicked out around january.
1994 - Dane Mellica (Kim Byrresen) left the scene. Danish graphician
Blizzart joined Passion. Danish graphician R.W.O (ex Hydronic) joined
Balance late this year. Danish multitalent Airwalk (ex Rednex old, new
early92-04/93) formed Polka Brothers. Pretty soon, Dice (music, ex Upfront),
Vention (code, 12/91), Laxity (code music) and Zinko (ex Majic 12, new
07/93) all teamed up late 94.

Raxor joined Razor 1911 new or 2000 AD.

Razmo left the Amiga for the PC scene.
Danish musician S.L.L (Steen L. Larsen, ex Hydronic) left the scene to work
with real music in his own studio.
Swedish sysop Princip ('INTERCHANGE', ex Crystal) was kicked, since Kefrens
decided they only wanted Danish members. He moved on to Ministry.
Danish coder Kelic got kicked.
Danish sysop Krueger ('PYRAMID INN', ex Awesome, 12/91) joined Spaceballs,
but it's still a Kefrens board.

  Intercourse (1993, .11?, AGA File).
info: Requires 2mb chip, and as only AGA machines have that...

Kent Team, The (TKT)
--------------------
Ah, this will bring a sparkle to old scene-people's eyes... Kent Team was
one of the biggest cracker groups on the Amiga around 1987, when the Amiga
was new... Many members later helped form the group Quoram.

KGB (1989-)
-----------
DEN> A.Azap (music), U-235 (Tom Iversen, code), ZX68 (code).

KGB was a danish group originally formed on the Spectrum, which then
migrated to the Amiga. Please note that there were at least two other groups
using this name, but below is the 'official' list of releases for THIS one
;), sent directly to me by U-235 (who used to be known as Spirit/Dominators
on the c64 btw...!)
1992 - They gained and lost their member NBR (gfx) this year. Swapper
Passion joined, but left the following year.

  Wild Blitter (1989, ECS Demo).
  info: Also called Drummer-demo.

1990: Atic Demo (an intro rather than a demo)

21st in The Party 92 demo competition.
info: Apparently the groups final production...

Kiki Prods.
-----------
  First 40Kb (1997, 40k Intro).
code: Piark (end), gfx: Momo (objects), music: Gandbox.
2nd in the Belgian Scene Event 97 40k intro competition.
review: I really don't get this one... It opens normally enough, with
brief credits and a Kiki logo, set to a chippy...which then suddenly goes
silent as we're shown a white dot-BSE logo soinning...and is that it?
What? And is Piark coded the endpart, who coded the rest? I really, really
  don't understand this. [glenn]
  GLE tested A1200/030-50/2mb chip, 16mb fast/3.1.

Kingdom
-------
DEN> Conan and Newton (coders, both doublemembs Rebels).
???> Spacebrain (music, 12/93-12/94).

AUT> Moon (code, doublememb Abyss, new late95).
NOR> Felix (Karsten Fischer, doublememb Massive).
???> SubStance (n-l?, org music, 06-09/97).

A mag released late 95 carried the news that Kinky changes its name to
Avocado, and their memberlist seem to reflect this. However, there are
Kinky productions released after this, so some confusion exists...
1996 - Sixpack left to be a member of Gods only in april.

  Sumu (1995, 12.08, 40k Intro).
13th in the Assembly 95 40k intro competition.

Released for the Saturne Party 1 64k intro competition.

(93), Hype (93), Mind (code, 93), Neuromancer, Stezotehic, Ufo, XRef.

Gazer joined Pleasure.

  Trotro (1993, .03, ECS Intro).
code: Mind, gfx: Mind (font), music: Clone.
review: Released after 20.2, since that date is mentioned within.
Anyway, all the other releases on the compactdisk I lifted it from were
March releases, so... RMB to hold text at top of page. [glenn]
  GLE tested A1200/020-14/2mb chip/3.0.

Kraze
-----
German musician and writer RokDaZone joined Amaze.

Kreators (1992-)

around january of 1992.

Ksylitol

FIN> Mynthon (code), Obskuron (gfx music), Somasepallus (music).

We Import All to Finland (1993?, ECS Intro).
code: Mynthon, gfx: Obskuron, music: Simasepallus, Obskuron.

Kuollut
-------
FIN> Bloodstone (trade, 07/91), Braggart (trade, 07/91).

Judging by the name, I'd say this is a pretty Finnish group ;)
